First published in March of 2010, whatsrightandwhatrightis.org is a program to improve the
foundational assumptions on which we base our global social organizations.

Management theorist Russell Ackoff said “All of our social problems arise out of doing the
wrong thing righter. The more efficient you are at doing the wrong thing, the wronger you
become. It is much better to do the right thing wronger than the wrong thing righter! If you
do the right thing wrong and correct it, you get better!”

WhatsRightandWhatRightIs.org assumes there is good reason to believe that getting wrong
righter has become an issue for us. A major cause of this is our tendency to mistake means
for ends, to mistake some useful methods for achieving our fundamental goals, for the
fundamental goals themselves.

WhatsRightandWhatRightIs.org is a process for questioning everything, hammering down
obstacles to social success and reducing social opportunity losses for everyone.

We confine ourselves by the questions we don’t ask to a stunted set of policies that fall well
short of being optimal for all of us and inflict devastating consequences on a great many of
us.

Peace, justice and prosperity are doable and they will be done when we get the questions and
answers right enough to reveal the sub-atomic particles of scientific, ethical and social truth.
We went to the moon. We can do this.
